承載著兩代記憶的老屋改造計畫，連繫家人情感的通透空間。
由原居住者到第三代共居，兩獨立單元體的居住關係被重新定義，我們將場域的需求由私密至開放，以客廳為核心做為延伸，將空間劃分為「凝聚、開放、私密、娛樂」，營造符合兩代間舒適的居住感受。
整體空間使用暖系木質鋪底、溫潤的奶灰質調為第二視覺；場域轉換的樑柱交界採弧狀收尾，試圖將空間中的硬度磨去、柔和氛圍。
由既有廚房向外探，開放中島與餐桌的連接成為特別的橋樑，並用「拱」串連著四代不同時空回憶做為空間的轉換，由封閉的私密空間轉變為具通透性的開放式場域，再加入「圓」的要素勾勒出層次，重新訴說家族凝聚之精神。
在大人群聚的空間中，帶入孩童玩樂的繪畫牆面，往內走入浴廁，上下方壁磚對比的分割及俐落的線條，帶出放鬆而嫻雅的氣息，在新舊間交會產生協調性。
我們期待用溫和的設計語彙打造無拘束的二代宅空間，使家屋成為「家」凝聚的橋樑，打開世代間溝通與對話。
This renovation project of the ancient residence conveys the memories of two generations and bridges love within the family with transparent space.
From the occupants of origin to the embrace of the third generation, the two singular habitation units are redefined in terms of living connections.
We altered places with demands ringing from privacy to openness, using the living room as the core and distinguishing the extended space by “cohesion, openness, privacy, and entertainment”, facilitating comfort for two generations’ living experiences.
The whole space is based on the warmth of the wood and decorated with the smoothness of creamy gray tones.
Beams and pillars at the transition points of different areas have curves for finishing touches with the intent of erasing the hardness in the space and softening the ambiance.
An open center island and its connection with the dining table reach outward from the existing kitchen, becoming an alternative bridge.
The transition of space contains “arches”, relaying four generations’ memories in their own space and time. It transforms an enclosed private space into an open and transparent one, with the addition of elements of “circles” to outline the layers, recounting the spirit of family cohesion.
In the areas for the gatherings of adults, the joy of children’s drawings is brought to the walls. Inside the bathroom, the clean-cut contrast of upper and lower tiles brings out relaxing and elegant scents, creating harmony at the crossroads between the old and the new.
What we have in mind is the creation of a carefree space for second-generation housing, making the family house into a bridge towards the cohesion of “family”, opening up communication and dialogue between generations.
